Swearing-In of the Taskforce

Established by the Elijah Cummings Healing City Act, the Trauma-Informed Care Task Force is developing best practices and facilitating trauma-informed education and training across all city departments and agencies as mandated by the act.

 

The legislation, catalyzed by the Healing City movement, sponsored by Councilman Zeke Cohen, and unanimously signed into law in February of 2020, made Baltimore the first legislative body in the nation to employ law to address the impacts of trauma on society.
